ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Dance Party 1 and 2: Dance Party was a nickname that was given to me because I like to dance.

J.M.G.: J.M.G. is the initials of a good friend of mine who likes techno.

Isaac: Named after the late great Issac Hayes.

Richonda: Richonda was a name of a woman that I met in college.

Eric's Blues: It really doesn't sound like a blues song, but anyhow, I'm using piano as a lead and a few other sounds in the background with little rhythm accompaniment other than hand claps.

High Five Vibes: I thought that it would be interesting to do a song with an urban feel using vibes as a lead.

2 Minute Chase: I was on a road trip with my boss in Wyoming when I came up with the idea for this song. It seemed to me that this song would be perfect for a radio intermission.

Tides: Tides and J.M.G. have something in common. Tides was named by the good friend whose initials are J.M.G. I played this song over the phone to him and he came up with the name Tides.

Beaver's Groove: is a song that uses a slap bass sound along with electric piano as a lead
instrument. Beaver's Groove is also named after a bass player friend of mine named Beaver Howard. Beaver has played with Sly Stone and several other people.

Peace On Earth: A last minute idea for the album...This song is in 3/4 time using vibes in the background. Peace On Earth sounds like music for a science fiction movie or a T.V. show. Years ago, I heard a song by Violinist Jean Luc Ponty that was on The Weather Channel called Elephant Love ( You can probably hear a little bit of Jean's influence when I'm playing the vibraphone part ).
