ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
I love words. I love music. I love writing songs that are comprised of four chords and a gust of wind.

I am deeply impacted and inspired by the works of Madeleine L'Engle, C.S. Lewis and other great story tellers. Nothing grabs my heart and speaks to the deepest parts of me like a story, so my music (lyrics and production) tends to have storytelling qualities to it.

One of the biggest things that inspires me is someone fighting and triumphing over things that seem impossible. So I tend to write from that perspective; whether it's getting over a seemingly impossibly broken heart (who knew grief could take so long to leave behind?) or believing that Jesus' love really CAN change a person's life or that traveling to Narnia is actually possible, these are all things that find their way into my lyrics one way or another.

As for my style, I always just say I'm a Pop artist, but my brother corrected me and told me that I'm Indie Pop, because some of the instruments in my music wouldn't be used in normal pop music (according to my bro). So yeah, I like a few quirky sounds sprinkled in here and there to spice up my acoustic guitar or piano driven sound, and you may or may not find a smidgen of a techno breakdown in there.
