Megan Myles is an up and coming singer/songwriter with a rich and soulful country sound. She was born in Memphis, TN. and raised in her hometown Collierville, TN. Music became a part of Megan's life at a young age. She has that warm blues base that gives her voice a unique edge. Her vocal versatility as well as her stage presence allows her to connect emotionally with any given audience. Ms. Myles is captivating and quit earnest. She is filled with passion and not afraid to leave her heart on the stage. Such honesty distinguishes her from the rest. She has been strongly influenced by Memphis music and has a country sound that can only come from the South. The moment you hear her voice you will begin to understand how she was influence by local artists. Megan is currently recording her first EP at Royal Studios in Memphis, TN. She has been working with two different producers the past year and a half. Robert 'Flip' Jones, dj/manager/producer, was one of the first industry people to show interest in her. He helped develop her sound and later introduced her to producer/engineer Lawrence 'Boo' Mitchell. Mitchell is a melodic visionary. Boo heard depth and sincerity in her work. In agreement with Jones, he immediately saw promise in Ms. Myles's unique vocal style. Together they have been able to fuse multiple genres of music into one distinct and incredible sound. She writes her songs with intense purpose and sings each of them with conviction. She takes the audience with her on each journey. She has been fortunate enough to work with many well known musicians who were able to bring her songs to life. Megan is now recording in a studio that has worked with numerous influential artists. The release date of her EP is to be announced. While pursuing her solo career she has sang with numerous bands around the Memphis area. She is now working with several of those musicians in her own band. Megan is also currently collaborating with two talented, Memphis musicians (Jeff Moss and Dan Baker) and they have formed an acoustic group known as 'Well Played.' The trio performs at various venues throughout the city of Memphis and surrounding areas. Ms. Myles has also been the special guest singer of the National Anthem, this past race season, at Riverside International Speedway.
