Album Notes
Nigel Martin's music features a blend of technical guitar wizardry and traditional slide techniques whilst retaining strong melodic direction with clear song structures. His vast array of influences include Joe Satriani, Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Derek Trucks, Paul Gilbert, Django Reinhardt and John Scofield. This collection of songs were composed, recorded and produced by Nigel between 2008 and 2013 with all instruments being handled by the man himself with a support from Robert Cochrane who provides drums on five of the eleven tracks - 3, 6, 8, 9 & 10. The album features a strong blues/rock influence although some might say there are also elements of progressive rock and fusion. The instrumental nature of the music means it is not just suitable for the casual rock guitar fan but also those wishing to use music to paint pictures in their minds and connect music with moving image or those who just appreciate a collection of styles presented in an exciting way.
