In their first studio album, Silo Effect delivers heavy-hitting grooves and epic soundscapes bursting with colorful textures, blending world beats, funk and disco with Drum&Bass and electro-club/house sounds in a way that sounds fresh yet feels nostalgic. The title song, Treehouse, starts off with quiet bird sounds subtly effected when suddenly everything becomes thick with percussion in a pseudo-psychedelic latin feel that pulls you in to the landscape immediately. Track two entitled Kasyapa continues with the latin/jungle theme, only this time with more effects and samples, taking you deeper into the journey. The last song, Flight of the Dog, is a story of ascension, beginning with a similar ambient feel of the album, and then building progressively higher in a post-rock almost indie fashion. This EP marks an huge transition for The Silo Effect as the move from stage to studio. They've found a whole new realm to explore, and possibly a new path that could take them steadily to new heights.
