ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
"Synesthesia Battery is a female led rock band that threads their hard hitting rock lines with beautiful melodies and laid back improvisation." Though Tonya Blum and David Rios didn't start playing music together until the fall of 2010 and the band that later resulted from their jam sessions didn't have the name until the summer of 2013, Synesthesia Battery truly began in August 2009 when Tonya wrote a series of new songs. Having been classically trained on the flute, this was a new and exciting experience for her. As most new songwriters do, she was inspired to write about things in her personal life. When she and David started playing, the songs took on a sound completely different from what she imagined. The collaboration of a full band, including Danny Burgess on drums and Randy Lincoln on bass gave the songs a life Tonya knew she couldn't get playing solo. The band’s sound was evolving and the content of the songs deepened. When writing music, the members of Synesthesia Battery bring their love of a wide variety of genres. It’s a sound they hope you love as much as they do.
