24PESOS is one of the fastest rising bands in the blues scene today. Emerging from the roughneck dives of London, 24PESOS burst on to the blues scene in 2008 with their raw and rootsy live shows and debut album “The Boogie Worm” which was featured as Record of the Week by Gary Grainger on the Blues Show.

“Four guys in full command of their instruments” ***** Blues in Britain Magazine

“Fast furious and a whole lot of fun”
***** Blues Matters Magazine

“Contemporary blues…laced with greasy funk…never a dull moment” Freddy Celis, Rootstime

The band’s latest album “Busted Broken and Blue” (due for release 19 July 2010) showcases the evolution of the 24Pesos sound – 11 boot stompin’ originals drawing from influences as diverse as Ray Charles, The Meters, James Brown, Freddie King, Howlin Wolf, and the Roots. Featuring saw-tooth Dobro guitars, searing harmonicas, a funky old school rhythm section and a greasy Hammond B3, the album showcases an eclectic and infectious blend that is the unmistakable 24Pesos sound.

The band features the blistering guitar, vocal and harmonica of Julian Burdock. As a sideman Julian has played with many great artists including Pee Wee Ellis, Fred Wesley, Beverly Knight, Jocelyn Brown.
Silas Maitland holds down the low end on his 62 P-Bass - playing credits include Geno Washington, Son of Dave, Marcus Malone, Imelda May and The Blues Brothers.
On greasy Hammond B3 is Moz Gamble … Paul McCartney, Paloma Faith, The Flash Monkey.
Behind the drum kit is the raw and funky feel of Mike Connolly … the Boogie Worm.

In 2009 24Pesos played over 100 shows throughout Europe and the UK including the Colne Blues Festival, Bluesin@out Festival (France), as well as private shows for Richard Branson, Princess Eugenie and Peter Gabriel.

The Boogie Worm garnered great reviews from the British Blues Press and 24Pesos featured on the front cover of Blues in Britain magazine.

2010 is set to be a great year for 24Pesos with the release of the new album Busted Broken and Blue. The band will hit the road once more to bring the infectious energy of their electrifying live shows to festivals and venues throughout Europe and the UK.
