26 Miles Per Hour, is a high energy hard-rock band hailing from Petaluma Ca, just minutes north of the S.F. Bay area. The band recently regrouped in July 2009. Since the band's inception in 1995, 26MPH has gone through various incarnations with now original member's Eric and Adam Nettleton finally reigniting the fire which is 26MPH! Drummer, Kevin Fitzgerald and Bass player Steve Chavez have added to the completion of what critic's say is the most complex offering of explosive, and passionate melodic sounds the band has ever offered. 26MPH originally started off with more alternative/punk/grunge influences, but since has progressed into a heavy juggernaut that incorporates the intensity of metal and hardcore styles, while maintaining quite an array of melodic melodies and influences. 26 MPH has also worked hard at spreading the word, and maintaining a positive message to their fans. The band has played shows spanning the Nor-Cal region, and shared the stage with such national acts as: Papa Roach, Alien Ant Farm, Halestorm, Adelitas Way, Will Haven, Hoods, Sevendust, Kittie, Kotton Mouth Kings, Murder Dolls, Will Haven, Agent Orange, and Sprung Monkey. 26MPH offers two past DIY full-length releases "Apathy" and "Walk Alone" and most currently their label release off Popsmear Records, "Redefine" which incorporates a mix of hard-edge influences and is rated one the bands heaviest and melodic to date. The band is currently touring the Nor-Cal area in support of their new LP "American Nightmare." With 26MPH's driving hard work ethic and support for the local music scene you will no doubt be hearing about the band 26 Miles Per Hour soon!
