The grind is nothing new to 3 Man Rap Band, the group has been on it relentlessly. The Alabama trio
composed of childhood friends Denis “Mr. Dino” Young, Chris Parker, and Desmond “President Chop
Calloway” formed officially in late 2011, after all three released individual projects earlier that year. The
group is part of the burgeoning POWN Music Entertainment roster based in Southeast Alabama. Even
though the group has only been together officially for less than a year, they’ve been recording together for
well over a decade. With their musical influences ranging from Marvin Gaye and R. Kelly to The Notorious
B.I.G. and the Black Eyed Peas its easy to see where the inspiration for their up-tempo yet smooth tracks
and the high-energy live performances they are quickly becoming known for comes from. When they’re not
working in the studio you can probably find them performing live and partying somewhere. “Performing
live is great says Desmond “President Chop” Calloway its where you really get to give the people a show
and interact with the fans, and that’s truly important to us”, an approach echoed by his group mates and
highlighted by their single Red Light from their first mixtape offering Ghetto Superstars. An infectious hook
with a synth and snare driven beat produced by Chris Parker. “Yeah its definitely one of our favorite songs
to perform adds Denis “Mr. Dino Young“. The attention received has not dimmed 3 Man’s work ethic at all
as they are already working on their yet untitled follow up project due out first quarter of 2013 under
POWN Music.
