The three of us (Tony, Dan & Kenny) have been playing music together since 1998. We played for our wives and friends for years… we then decided to get serious, so we officially formed 3Penny in 2009.

Our friendship is the product of our military service. Through a series of certain events that none of us would change if we could… we became the closest of friends. Although we never served in combat together… we are all combat veterans… we don’t make that the point of our existence, but it is who we are, and we are very proud of that fact. We tend to base our friendship on common interests and desires, not so much a common history…

The music we write…

Well we consider it to be an acoustic driven mix of rock, folk, soul and country… Our style is a mish-mash of influences… the most current of which is Edwin McCain, Sister Hazel, Jeffery Gaines, Pat McGee, and Vertical Horizon… with the occasional harkening back to a few rock groups of the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s…

In our music, we focus on melody and harmony. Our goal is to offer music that makes you want to sit back, relax and listen… and occasionally jump up and dance a little. We strive to put emotion and sincerity into every word we sing, and every note we play. We think that a song should capture the essence of an emotion or a memory… to us… the songs we've included in this project do that.

This is our debut project… we hope you enjoy it, and look forward to producing much more in the future…
