Madison Rising by Madison Rising
Release: 2011
1
Reviews:
Madison Rising's self-titled debut album was released in October 2011. The band – with Dave Bray on vocals, Alex Bodnar on bass and guitar, Christopher Schreiner on lead guitar and Sam Fishman on drums – makes guitar heavy rock music with a distinctively pro-American message and sound. The overarching theme of the band’s music is that of liberty, independence, smaller government and personal responsibility. This is a group of musicians fueled by an eternal gratitude and love for their country. Madison Rising: music with meaning.

Reviews:
In the spring of 2011, Michael formed the band "The Els" with his wife Rachael Renee', longtime friend Nathaniel Lee, and bassist J. Elwood Johncox. Later that year, newly formed Alder Street Records signed Levasseur. The first record was recorded shortly thereafter at Tiny Telephone Studios in San Francisco, by Ian Pellicci. Over the course of 11 days, members of the els convened in the Mission District to record 5 tracks live in the studio. Michael worked with Rory Carroll (Black Telephone, The New York Times), who largely produced the album, and drummer John Masters (Cheniers, Metropolitan), who brought his hard-hitting style, on another 6 songs. Brand new indie label Alder Street Records will release the album titled "Are's & Els" June 5th 2012 in a limited edition run deluxe 180 gram LP's and CD's with sleeve artwork featuring photos by Rachael Renee' Levasseur and graphic design by Factory North!
