A New Monday
“Go There With You”
Song Explanation :
This song is speaking about going through the fire with someone. It is about forgiveness and not looking back but moving forward in truth. It is about a long conversation in the car with a girl who I was in love with. She had a dark past and I was just plain broken. I was trying to fix things on my own and she was bitter towards life. We didn't know what to do or even where we were going but knew that in the light the darkness of our past fades. It is there I wanted to be with the one I loved.
This band led by Nick Kulhawy started as a worship band out of a cold Northern city in Alberta, Canada called Fort McMurray. In the summer of 2009 the original band entered a city wide talent competition under the name A New Monday playing folk covers such as Jason Mraz and Colbie Caillet. Performance after performance, round after round they found themselves at the finals where they ended up winning the entire competition.
While they were competing they saw rock singer/songwriter Nick Kulhawy playing on another stage and during their breaks they would seek him out to get to know him. Little did he know they had an alterior motive; they were looking for a new frontman who liked Rock N Roll and who would be able to put wings on their music both in songwriting and who they thought could take their music to a whole new level. That is just what happened. Since Nick became the writer and frontman of A New Monday they have become more and more Rock N Roll and have played with the likes of Canadian Icons Kim Mitchell, Loverboy and the Trews. Their love for God, serving the poor and deep respect for their fans sets them apart from the rest.
