A Thousand Years at Sea

A Thousand Years at Sea is the fusion of singer-songwriters Colin Cotter and Ethan Lewis, and pianist Neil Pearlman's distinctive and innovative musical sounds, bringing together elements of folk, jazz, celtic, and rock into a dynamic and stirring musical experience.

Colin Cotter has shown himself to be a prolific composer and lyricist, writing eight of the songs on ATYAS's debut album, Silver Shores Await. His soulful singing is complimented by a fiddle and guitar which have developed strongly in his years of jamming and performing.

Ethan Lewis brings a lot of talent and experience to the table - a rich, organic singing style, tremendous compositional and lyrical depth and sincerity, and (at only 26 years old) over two decades of fiddle-playing epicness.

Neil Pearlman has performed across the country with many of the best contemporary and traditional musicians of today. His innovative, genre-defying style combines a family background in Scottish traditional music with a depth of experience in jazz and contemporary music.
