Aaron Blades Band

Aaron Blades (Songwriter/Lead Vocals/Guitar)

Aaron has ventured from Decatur, Illinois to, of all places, Muscle Shoals, Alabama. He has a passion that consumes him. From the age of 3, singing Jerry Lee Lewis “Great Balls of Fire” on a karaoke machine to singing and playing with various acts that have more soul than they know what to do with. He grew up listening and taking notes from artist such as Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Ray Vaughn, and Otis Redding. He is on a mission: Writing song day after day in order to find the right ones to introduce his body of work to the world. Those songs have been selected, the band has been prepared, and Aaron is hungry to accomplish his goal.

Billy Smart (Lead Guitar/Vocals)

Billy arrived in Muscle Shoals five years ago and immediately garnered the attention of the local music community with his guitar skill. When not playing with his own band, William can be found swapping licks with Kelvin Holly (Little Richard, Neil Young, Amazing Rhythm Aces), Browan Job Lollar (Jason Isbell, Azure Ray), Jason Isbell and other “Swampers” around Muscle Shoals.

Quote from Kelvin Holly - Guitarist for Little Richard, the Decoys, and Neil Young, Worked with Grammy Award Winning band “The Amazing Rhythm Aces”, and Gregg Allman

"Some folks play the guitar, some folks really play the guitar, Billy really, really, really plays the guitar. And, that's the truth!!"
