Aaron Brown is a versatile songwriter, who was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. Aaron takes great pride in writing songs and studying the art of songwriting. Aaron composes and infuses his musical style into songs of Top 40 Pop/Rock, Adult Contemporary, Country, and Modern Rock. His love for music started at a young age in elementary school as he began playing the piano. He then picked up the guitar at age 12 to learn how to play Guns N’ Roses and Metallica songs. He has played rock shows at the world famous venues like The Whiskey A Go Go and The Roxy on the Sunset Strip with his former rock bands. Aaron is a huge John Lennon and Jon Bon Jovi fan.
One of the first songs that he wrote, “She Fills My Heart”, has been played on over 25 Top 40 Hot AC and CHR radio stations across the country as a demo. It received 10-25 spins per week on different stations and it climbed up to #4 in Montana on KLTZ Mix 93’s playlist. For a 3-month radio promotion the song did well, considering it being from an unknown and unsigned band called “Soul Custody”, which he formed with a skillful singer named Chris Forry.
Towards the end of 2006, Aaron decided to move from Los Angeles to Nashville, TN to learn and study the songwriting craft in more depth. He started getting into country music and gained valuable knowledge about the significance of writing original and meaningful lyrics. He moved back to LA in 2009 and after 3 weeks of being back home, he met a lovely girl named Sami, who would later become his wife and also a co-writer to many of his songs like “Catch Me A Cougar” and “See Ya Later Love”. Thanks to Brianna Bitton for singing her heart out, who sings on the tracks "See Ya Later Love" and "Worth The Wait".
Aaron has received three Honorable Mention Awards from the 13th and 14th Annual Billboard World Songwriting Contest for his songs “She Fills My Heart”, “I Don’t Want It”, and “Don’t Say Goodbye, Say Goodbye”. His songs have also received airplay on the following independent online radio shows, the “On The Horizon” Radio show and the “Indie Lime Light Radio Show”. The song called “Don’t Say Goodbye, Say Goodnight” which he co-wrote with Chris Forry, has been included on the Paramount Group’s “Catch A Rising Star” best of 2006 CD. He was named a finalist in the 2009 Great American Song Contest in the country genre for his song, “Heart On My Windshield”.
His biggest inspirations for music include the Beatles, Bon Jovi, Michael Jackson, Keith Urban, Lionel Richie, Brad Paisley, Blake Shelton, Desmond Child, Maroon 5, Diane Warren, Stevie Wonder, John Mayer, and Rob Thomas of Matchbox Twenty to name a few.
He is currently composing and recording song after song in his own home recording studio. Whether he writes an energetic edgy rock song, a romantic love song, or even a R&B song with a cool beat, he wants the listener to feel his unique and authentic style through his songwriting.
