Abducted By Sharks is a cyberpunk project by Seattle-based musician and producer Teo Acosta. Since 2010 he has played shows in Seattle, Tacoma, Portland and Rochester, NY and released three full length albums, and two five track EPs.
His eclectic influences lead to a unique sound that can be hard to define. ABS tracks feature a mix of atmospheric synths over heavy industrial drums and catchy melodies being led by driving synthetic guitars interwoven with dark ambient drone.
Teo’s music is heavily influenced by his upbringing. Growing up in the metalcore scene in upstate New York, mosh pits and constant breakdowns were a part of his everyday life. Combine that level of intensity with a love for science fiction, synthesizers, and video games and you start to gain an appreciation for what Abducted By Sharks is all about.
