Adithya Srinivasan

Adithya Srinivasan was born on 19th June, 1992 to Mr. R Srinivasan & Mrs. Sudha Srinivasan in the city of Mangalore, Karnataka. Born in a family of musicians, he had always been musically inclined since childhood. His Grandfather, Mr. M R Rangarajan - an eminent civil engineer and part of the AIR Audition Board was an excellent carnatic classical singer and had performed in front of great audiences like our late honorable Prime Minister Mrs.Indira Gandhi. Adithya's mother, Mrs. Sudha Srinivasan - a Scientist by profession gave several carnatic classical performances over the All India Radio during her childhood. His father Mr. R Srinivasan - Director of an MNC, Acted in numerous dramas and films during his childhood like Bhasa's 'Karna Bhaaram', 'Hamlet', 'Macbeth', 'Sadha Rame' etc.

Adithya is presently pursuing Computer Science Engineering at M S Ramaiah Institute Of Technology, Bangalore. He was awarded 'Student Of The Year' by The Times Of India. Inspired by the Ghazals Of Hariharan, Adithya started off his musical journey in search of true knowledge. He initially learnt Carnatic Classical Music but soon switched to Hindusthani Classical Music. He also put heart and soul into learning the serene language of Urdu and soon started giving Ghazal and Indian Filmi Concerts. He won numerous national / state level light music competetions and came to become #6 - Most Viewed (Today) - Musician - India on Youtube for his videos. His dream came true when he performed with his own Inspiration & Virtual Guru, Padmashree Hariharan at the Bangalore Ganesh Utsav on the 7th of September, 2008. He performed again with Padmashree Hariharan during the Shaam-e-Ghazal Concert on the 18th of February , 2012.

He has lent his voice for several tracks in kannada, hindi & tamil films and is part of an album 'Awaz Meri Pehchaan' which takes its birth, thanks to the inspiration from the Living Legend A R Rahman. He was interviewed by the press - 'Bangalore Mirror', 'DNA' etc. being rated as One of the Best Ghazal Singers in the Country and also by the famous Radio Channel 94.3 Radio One being called 'The voice with the X-factor'. Along with team Mausam & Praveen D Rao, he opened the 'Ghulam Ali-Live In Concert' at Palace Grounds on the 8th of April, 2012 with 'Main Khayaal Hoon Kisi Aur Ka' which brought him great applause and fanhood among the Connoisseurs. His debut album 'Ghazal Ka Mausam' - A Tribute to the Legends, was an effort made to bring back the eternal Genre of Ghazals. 6 Soulful Ghazals originally rendered by legends like Mehdi Hassan, Jagjit Singh, Hariharan, Ghulam Ali & Pankaj Udas are part of the Album. Initially distributed among Celebrated Singers, Music Directors & Icons of the Film Industry, Ghazal Ka Mausam was Released on the Radio & Online for Public. His latest venture 'Gham-e-Duniya' is a collaborative effort with musicians across India and is set to hit e-music stores by Q1 2013.
