Growing up in the southwestern part of Canada in Windsor, Ontario, Adriel’s style was
impacted by a city filled with people from countries around the world. These influences
and dialects from various nations helped shape a unique sound and rhythm, all his own.
From the age of 4, Adriel begin singing to his family with a
plastic microphone and guitar. With early influences in the pop arena from New
Kids on the Block and the Backstreet Boys from the radio, his father created
awareness of music from Elvis, Johnny Cash, The Beatles and the Rolling Stones,
while also combining his mom’s passion of the sound of Country Music. Early
influences also came from The Who, Led Zepplin, Blink 182 and Green Day from his
brother and friends which have combined to give Adriel a special
“modern-pop ” sound of his own.
Outside of singing for family, Adriel’s first experience in front of others began
at age 17 singing at a high school spring rally which began a turning point to singing
for larger audiences. Immediate encouragement and support from students throughout his
school, prompted more performances and the beginning of creating bands to play at clubs,
talent shows and parties with Adriel as the lead singer.
About three years ago, Adriel began his first posting of music to
YouTube and has now resulted to over 1.8 million views. This exposure
also brought him to the attention of professionals in the music industry that
recognized his talent and provided him a chance to perform on the first YouTube
DigiTour in Spring 2011.
Throughout this past spring he finished his college education, graduating in June
with a degree in Psychology, while also traveling back and forth to the United States
to record his first CD project that is releasing in late 2011.
In late summer, the first single, “Fall in Love Again” written by Adriel, Matthew Craig and
Lenny LeBlanc will be released to i-tunes. To promote this single and the upcoming EP,
Adriel will be making television appearances in the United States and Canada, as well as
appearing at summer music festivals and planning for an upcoming tour in Asia for early 2012.
Many YouTube fans have described him as having the “voice of an angel,” but
Adriel is humble in his acknowledgment to stay focused on just creating great
music. However, his sound maybe described, when you listen to the incredible
music on his solo release, we feel that he is definitely “the voice of great
things to come.”
