Al DeLory: American songwriter, composer, conductor, arranger, producer and pianist. THE WRECKING CREW YEARS: Unique time period featuring a collection of the most talented studio musicians in Hollywood. I was honored to be a member of this team. We were world famous and performed on super hit records by the Beach Boys, Phil Spector, Tina Turner, The Crystals, The Ronettes, The Righteous Brothers, Bobby Socks and the Blue Jeans, and so many more. There is a documentary recently produced about this incredible time in musical history. GLEN CAMPBELL YEARS: Glen and I were session players with The Wrecking Crew, an A-list studio team for major recording artists, at the time Glen Campbell got his start recording for Capitol as a major artist. As a new producer at Capitol I was called into an executive meeting and asked to produce Glen's next LP (Burning Bridges). Not many songs were coming across my desk at the time so Glen and I got busy searching, finding, and recording those songs that you now know as Glen's classics. Six years with Capitol earned us gold and platinum singles, LP's, Grammy awards and nominations. Thanks to Ken Nelson for his confidence in us, Capitol Records for their encouragement, support and direction, and, of course, thanks to Glen Campbell, my favorite artist. And for the many fans that continue to ask..."it was Glen's voice and the strength of those songs that inspired me to write arrangements that exceeded my expectations." PRODUCING YEARS: I continued producing other artists like Al Martino, The Four Preps, Wayne Newton, The Letterman, Dobie Gray and more, meanwhile I continued in my executive position in A&R for Capital in Los Angeles. I also the produced the film soundtrack to MASH and Love Story. FILM SCORING: I scored the music for these films: Pioneer Woman, Devils Reign, Mad Bull, What Comes Around, and Jory. THE SALSA! Salsa music has been a love of mine since I was a small boy. Hearing the records of Tito Puente and many others sparked a wonderful interest. Early on I was impressed by such artists as Noro Morales, Papa Luca, and the greats from that era. My love for Latin music again surfaced when I moved to Nashville. The latest album Hot Gandinga is a spicy, saucy, collection of Salsa song recipes that bring out authentic Latin flavors set to entice. Salsa Jazz is a collection of famous Latin songs performed with sensuous passion, makes for a spicy, saucy, salsa recipe perfect for listening and dancing. In my music career so far I've earned two Grammys, six Grammy nominations, six Country Music Association Awards, and a multitude of gold and platinum records. Music runs in my family, both my son and daughter are musicians. I am blessed with a very talented and wonderful family.
