Since early 2005 Al Leeming has been a regular face on the acoustic circuit in the musically rich city of Leeds. Al, a singer/songwriter and guitarist originally from Keighley, has developed steadily over the last few years with his style ranging from thoughtful ballads to all out Rock N Roll. Whatever Al is doing musicallyat any given time it is the most important thing on his mind. His music wholeheartedly reflects the focus, power and energy delivered in his live performance. Al loves music, first and foremost. He certainly does not shy away from his influences. Some early observations on the style and feel of Al's music drew comparison to the likes of Paul Weller, Noel Gallagher and David Gray.
2009 sees the release of Al Leeming's debut Single, entitled 'House Of Cards'. A release that perfectly embodies what Al is all about; loud guitars with upfront and straight to the point lyrics. Something that you can, and hopefully will, sing along to. Recent collaborations with producer and engineer Tommy Cockerham of Clarendon Road Recordings and Ben Greaves, a fellow musician and songwriter, have seen Al go from strength to strength and these new songs are the fruitful product of a lot of hard work.
Al's future goals and aspirations are simply to get as much out of music as possible, to continue writing new songs and above all, for as many people as possible to hear what he has to offer. Al Leeming's 'House Of Cards' EP is released in October 2009 through all major digital music retailers in conjunction with Clarendon Road Recordings.
