MEET ALAN LANEY
Alan Laney is no stranger to the Country and Bluegrass music community. His roots trace back to the hills of East Tennessee. Most people know him as a singer/songwriter. As a recording Artist he has released CD's Livin On The Edge in 2005 on Music Mill Ent. label and Lost ART in 2007 with Trace Records and has a New CD project completed and with co-writer Mike Abernathy due out this summer 2009. He has had songs recorded by both Country and Bluegrass artists such as Charlie Louvin, Joe Diffie, Kix Brooks, Shania Twain, Larry Sparks, Andy Griggs, Brad Martin, Rosie Flores, Chad Austin, Seldom Scene, Tim Graves and Cherokee, James Monroe,The Special Consensus, and others. He has also given performances in 3 made for TV movies.
Alan has recorded his projects with many well known musicians and producers (to include Don Gant, Garth Fundis, Bernie Leadon and Carl Jackson), as well as having catalogs with publishers such as Horipro Ent., High Seas Music, BMG Music, Three Sons Music Group., Tri-Moon Music, soloal songs, Bill Lowry Music Group, and Acuff Rose Publishing throughout his career.
MEET MIKE ABERNATHY
Mike Abernathy has been writing and performing music in and around the Southern Appalachian Mountains since 1980. As a singer/guitarist he has performed in venues all over the south.
As a published songwriter he has recorded two previous solo albums and penned songs for a number of regional acts and television movies. For six and a half years he produced and cast himself in a number of one-man dinner theater shows. Then his interest turned to television.
He currently owns a company that produces informational television programs that air in five key tourism markets in the Southern Appalachian Mountains.
While he continues to enjoy producing television shows, his heart still lies in his music.
