Alan Semerdjian

Biography

Though NYC musician and poet Alan Semerdjian’s work is not easy to classify (think the legitimate love child of Elvis Costello and Aimee Mann), it seems to always find its way into the lives of music enthusiasts and creative and interesting people all over the world. With over 900 performances in a myriad of musical genres, television, film, radio, and CMJ credits, and several studio and live albums over the past twelve years, he may be one of the best singer/songwriters you’ve never heard of. His newest batch of songs, The Big Beauty, is an exploration of what it means to be in a relationship – the fear, the beauty, and everything in between. Though this release is perhaps Alan’s most commercially-accessible work to date, it still retains the gutsy inventiveness and integrity of one of New York City’s most interesting voices.
