Biography

Fueled by a desire to learn and understand the unique music played by masters such as Jodie Christian and Von Freeman, Alejandro sought opportunities to perform in Chicago. He has since recorded his debut album with Mr. Christian and played with Mr. Freeman.

Alejandro was born in Waterloo IA and raised in the Midwest. His musical interest was sparked by the radio and popular music. He studied at Northern Illinois University, Roosevelt University and privately with guitar guru Bobby Broom.

Alejandro has taught as part of the Ravinia Mentors' program and through the Thelonious Monk Institute working on the fundamentals with high school musicians who show an appreciation and skill.

He released his debut recording 'Urban Intervals,' featuring Jodie Christian Novemeber 2011.
