Alessandro Gandola is one of the most original and eccentric saxophonists on the international scene. From 2000 he is concentrated on the soprano saxophone. Eclectic and open to the most surprising juxtaposition of genres and styles – jazz, pop, world music, electronic and classical music – Brazil, France, Germany, the UK, India, Italy, the Netherlands, Switzerland, the USA, Tunisia and Turkey are the geographic borders of his searching experiences. His rich variety of recordings and projects run the gamut between music, cinema and image.

In BLUE there is only one musical instrument: his soprano saxophone. With this albumAlessandro wants to mark a clear point in his various musical search/carrer. The point is made by the sound and the expressive dimension of his soprano saxophone because rater then tecnic and form, sound and the expression of his voice that have always been the center of his work.

The performance is builded up on the album BLUE of whom are part the solo soprano saxophone versions of some tracks of the album Astrolabioanima.
Using the laptop the musical dimension of the performance, as in the album BLUE, goes from Solo to Polifony and from Composition to pure Improvisation.
