Alfredo Triff

Alfredo Triff is a violinist/composer & producer. He studied under Radosvet Boyadjiev in Havana and Anna Peleck and Joseph Fucks in New York. He has long collaborated with Kip Hanrahan and has played in most of Hanrahan's American Clave albums. Triff has put out six albums of original music: "Mindtrances," (dadaMiami, 1999), "21 Broken Melodies at Once" (American Clave, 2001), "Boleros Perdidos" (dadaMiami, 2006), dadaSon (dadaMiami, 2009), "Miami Untitled" (dadaMiami, 2013) and "Parodies: Jazz Music for Violin and Octet (dadaMiami, 2015). Triff holds a Master in Composition and a Ph.D. in Philosophy from the University of Miami. He loves cooking and the occasional puff of a good cigar.
