Alicia Bessette’s music has been played on radio stations around the world since 2002, when her debut album, Reservoir, was called “brilliant” by David Lanz. Her second album, 2009’s Orchard, was a featured selection in Napster’s New Age library and nominated for the “grassroots Grammies” (the Just Plain Folks music awards, in which less than one-third of one percent of all entries received a nod).
Reservoir, Orchard, and The Great Room (Alicia’s third full-length album and her first acoustic offering) were recorded and produced by Benj Lipchak of Wachusett Records.
Alicia is a self-trained musician and has been playing piano since childhood. She’s also the internationally bestselling author of the novel Simply From Scratch (Dutton 2010). She and her husband, the novelist Matthew Quick, live in the wooded hills of New England.
