Ever since she was a little girl growing up in Maryland, Alicia Greene was always drawn to the creative world of music whether it was singer in her bedroom to herself or in front of the stage to crowds of people in her youth choir. Alicia’s undying passion for music led her to join and participate in her church and school choirs respectively. At the tender age of seven, Alicia discovered that she had the ability to write when she began writing intricate stories as well the detail drawings for her stories. Besides storytelling, Alicia also wrote plays, poetry and song lyrics. To this date she has written over 200 songs lyrics in her journal without music to accompany them, but she has high hopes for them one day. Alicia realized that she had both the talent to write and sing songs but she didn’t fully call herself a songwriter until she learned to compose her own music. She studied and self-taught herself on how to mix and formulate her own beats like a professional and soon she was on her way to stardom. Although Alicia has always been involved in some aspect of music in her life, her professional career as an artist did start until her debut album “Heart and Soul” 2012) was official released on worldwide digital outlets like ITunes and Amazon. She was involved in every aspect of “Heart and Soul” from composing to the cover art of her album. Her debut album fused electronica rhythms with instrumental beats which garnered hits such as “Heartbroken dreams”, “The bells within” and “Distant memories”. She soon realized that her music was climbing the top 10 charts for her individual genre both on the reverbnation charts as well as the indie charts for electronica. It was only then Alicia realized her full potential as an independent artist.
Alicia Greene is currently in the studio working on a full length all vocal album as well as promoting her current sophomore album of which two singles “Happy place” (vocal) and “Fire and ice” were released prior to the album in honor of Valentine’s Day because of romantic and charming undertones. Both singles were well received by her fans. The album track “Happy place” (vocal) is the only lyrical song on the album but its lyrics are profound yet so sweet that it will sure to enlighten the mind with verses such as “Every time I look at you, I feel as if I’m in a Happy Place” or “My heart, the happiness I feel; my soul, my sweetheart I want more”.
