Ally the Fiddle
- instrumental Folk-Metal -

Do I think of Ireland, I think of mystical woods, old sagas, wooly sheeps, juicy meadows, rough cliffs... And of course the Pubs, where like in old traditions musicians play the Tunes of their ancestors. Based on that mixture of tradition and the modern, of myths and presence grows the music of Ally and her band.

While Ally was playing in various Irish Folk Bands and at many Folkfestivals the last years, she could collect impressions and facts of Ireland..s music. So she is now a wellbooked guest- and studiomusician - not only as a Folk-Fidde. With her special talent for improvisation and her feeling for different music-styles she works with those wellknown bands like ASP (Gothic/Industrial), Haggard (Medieval, Classic, Deathmetal), Die Apokalyptischen Reiter (Medieval Metal), Dezperadoz (Western Metal)...; plays from Jazz to Metal CD..s, DVD..s, Festivals (Wacken 2007), Tours (Germany and Turkey) and Gigs (Germany and Europe); has been a guest for producions of the broadcast stations ZDF and NDR...
- and introduces now her own project "Ally the Fiddle".

Therefore Ally arranges and composes - often based on the traditional Tunes - new songs, combines the Folk- and Rockviolin with the strong sound of a Metalband and makes mytical stuff being actul themes.
Responsible for the special sound of that band is guitarist Robert Klawonn, who found his style in many hours working with the scandinavian guitar-heroes of Sweden.

Nearly pure istrumental one time soft, another time hard the band tells you stories about Ireland..s beauty and it..s myths. Who needs a hint to awake the own fantasy, finds some lyrics on the Websites and in the booklets of the following CDs.

While Vanes Mae, Apocalyptica or Bond made their ways with instrumental String-Sound, Ally the Fiddle finds her own place here with that folk-metallic sound, fantastical-tragical stuff and an extraordinary appearance on stage.
