I started songwriting at a young age by using the piano to create different jingles and melodies. Currently I write children's, Christian, pop/rock and choral music; I hope to soon record some of my other music as well.
My love of music continued into my college years where I pursued a degree in communication and music. After college I became a stay-at-home mom to support my family, but after five years I began performing again first by helping with the funeral of my nephew after a 4 year battle with luekemia. After a couple of years, I began writing kids songs while entertaining my own at home. Soon after I decided to record my first album, "Trains, Cars, & A Trip To Mars."
My work also continues at Mayo Clinic as I perform and write songs for the children who struggle daily with cancer. "Rainbow Skies" was inspired by the rainbow designed stained glass window I saw while performing there. Our family dream is to help raise money for families who have children with cancer or other illnesses by giving $1 of each purchased album to Hands Of Hope, a 501c3 organization started by my sister and a group of friends after losing my nephew. Hands of Hope is based in Goodhue, MN. I soon will have a website with links to Hands Of Hope (based in Goodhue, MN) where families can sign up to receive monetary help during their difficult times.
My next album will be with my sister and vocalist, Mina Lewis. I am currently collaborating with other local songwriters in an effort to bring together our next project. More on that soon...!
