Biography

Amy Camie received her BA in Telecommunications from Indiana University in 1987 and has been playing harp professionally for over 33 years. As a classically trained musician, she has received numerous awards for her talent at local, regional and national levels. She has extensive small group and orchestral experience and enjoys sharing her music in a variety of settings, from small intimate gatherings to large concert halls.

Amy is a songwriter, recording artist, public speaker on “Vibrational Awareness- How music, sound and vibrations impact our thoughts, emotions, relationships and health” and “The Healing Power of Music.” She is a Facilitator and Initiator of The ORIGINS Process, a self-empowerment process for self-discovery and personal insight. She is also the Founder and Executive Director of the Scientific Arts Foundation, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that supports the value of creative expression through research, education and community outreach programs. The Scientific Arts Foundation has authored a medically approved clinical trial exploring the impact of Amy’s solo harp music on stress factors in adults receiving chemotherapy treatment for cancer.

Amy’s inspired solo harp CDs have been part of nine different research studies and are used throughout the country in hospitals, cancer centers, grief support groups and hospices as well as for general relaxation and stress reduction.

Amy lives in St. Louis, Missouri with her husband, John, and their two sons, Christopher and Justin.
