Andrea Lynn

Biography

There's something reassuring about Andrea Lynn's strong, hopeful vocal and steady, guitar-driven instrumentation. Her acoustic folk/pop/rock style, powered by commanding stage presence and vocals, is part of what brings audiences back for more. Andrea's musical beginnings trace back to highschool when she picked up her dad's Montaya guitar. With fumbling, uncalloused fingers she soon mastered "Silent Night" and later took to composing her own melodic delights.

The release of Andrea's debut album, Butterfly Wings, recorded mainly at the Contemporary Music Center on Martha's Vineyard, brought in a flurry of praise and opportunity. The title track received airplay on 88.7FM WMMT, and many stages have since welcomed her presence and songs.

Andrea's sophomore album, "Run To Me," released in December 2006, offers a raw taste of this young artist's budding style. Stripped down to strings and vocals while infused with the talent of Blue Murphy on the acoustic upright bass, the flavor of the CD is a bit reminiscent of 1920s Swing music with a folky pop rock punch.

Andrea's third, and most recent album, "The Mountains and The Sea," was just released in December 2010.

All of her CDs can be found on iTunes and CDBaby.

Andrea now resides in the Wild West and plans to continue writing, producing, and performing music primarily in Colorado. She has played at numerous venues so far, such as Leela European Cafe, Tattered Cover, Mead Street Station, Pikes Perk, Mercury Cafe, and Swallow Hill.
