"The master of the one man band...a first class musician and songwriter”
Blues in Britain Magazine
Andy is a contemporary one man blues band - a unique act that delivers off-beat blues and raucous rock and roll with surrealist humour. The topics of his songs range from Pot Noodle to the Meaning Of Life via Luxembourg and chickens. His musicianship is second to none playing drums, guitar, harmonica and singing live and simultaneously.
Andy started playing music in pubs and clubs from the age of 12. Inspired by the blues greats, he developed his own one man band sound. He became a professional musician gigging at many venues including the popular Jazz Café, and the 100 Club in London. Andy has played at theatres and festivals all over the UK such as the Great British Rock and Blues Festival in Skegness, Weyfest and Ealing Blues Festival. He has been interviewed on many radio stations including London’s Resonance 104.4 FM and has been featured in ‘Blues in Britain’ and ‘Blues Matters’ Magazines. In 2014, he was interviewed, and performed, on the BBC THREE mini documentary 'Living The Dream'. Andy clocked up notable support appearances in 2014, including for US acts Moreland & Arbuckle and Bob Log III, and made his overseas debut at La Fête De La Musique in Paris, with a subsequent tour of Spain in October. In 2015, Andy has toured Indonesia and The Netherlands as well as playing a mainstage slot at the UK's biggest blues festival 'The Great British R&B Festival in Colne. January 2015 saw the release of the 'KrossBorder Records - Best Of British Blues' compilation CD on which Andy was featured.
