Anji Bee

Anji Bee is the vocalist and lyricist of So Cal duo, Lovespirals, who have released 4 full length albums, 6 eps and numerous singles since 2000. She has also collaborated with a number of electronica and ambient artists over the past decade including Aerotek, Bloody Mary + SIS, Karmacoda + Beth Hirsch, Falling You, The Grooveblaster, Rom di Prisco of Bitstream Dream and Machineries of Heaven, and Chandeen. Her work with the CC Asia Band on the ccMixter site led to dozens of remixes, mashups, and additional collaborations with artists such as Benoit Cassar, Giovanni Perini, Loveshadow, and volk1. Anji's distinctively sensual, jazzy and ethereal voice has graced literally 100s of songs in a variety of musical styles including downtempo, deep house, progressive trance, dream pop, folk and alt. country. Bee's vocal style combines a jazzy sensuality with soulful ethereality and has been compared to Sade, Astrud Gilberto, Liz Frasier, Beth Gibbons, and Tracey Thorn.

Since 2005, Anji has also hosted and produced the 2-time Best Podsafe Music Podcast nominated Chillcast with Anji Bee audio show and its companion show Chillcast Video. The Chillcast has been aired on Sirius Stars 102, 246Live 100.7FM Toronto, Nijmegen 1 Radio 107.8 FM in the Netherlands, 96.1 FM WBWH, in Ohio., and The Movement HD Radio, in India. The Chillcast has had over 7 million download requests to date, while Chillcast Video has had over 16 and half million download requests. Anji was also a hostess the People's Choice Podcast Award winning ShowGirls and has guest hosted or appeared on numerous shows including The Daily Source Code, Dave's Lounge, and In Over Your Head, and Anji has guest hosted many episodes of the International Lounge Network radio program, Atmosphere 69, for Mix96 in Canada.

Anji's music has appeared on TV and cable programs including The Oprah Winfrey Show, Martha, What Perez Sez, Mind of Mencia, Gastineau Girls, Cribs, and many other shows on stations including MTV, VH1, E!, Playboy, Logo, and Current TV. With radio and club support from Armin van Buuren, Denny Dowd, The PH Factor and others, the 'Damien S And Love Spirals Feat Anji Bee' remix package of "This Truth" mixes did well in dance music charts, hitting #2 in World Trance, #4 in World House and #10 in World Commercial on the DMC, as well as making the #8 spot on Music Week’s Upfront Club Chart.
