Anna Morley

Biography

Anna is a Australian born multi-instrumentalist / composer with almost 20 years of performance experience. She is based in Barcelona, Spain and has a passion for playing too many instruments and applying herself to the inner research of why music makes her feel the way it does.

Classically trained at Melbourne's Conservatorium of Music and the Victorian College of the Arts, Anna is principally a vibraphone player. In her albums Character and Red Balance, Anna also lends her talents to violin, vocals and a range of keyboard and percussion instruments. She has performed with well-known Australian acts such as jazz legend James Morrison, opera diva Marina Prior and toured with comedy duo The Scared Weird Little Guys.

Anna's music can be described as an eclectic fusion of electro-acoustic vibes with a touch of ambience, all held together by fresh minimal grooves. She collaborates with UK based producer Alex Forster, with recording and production carried out between London and Barcelona at a combination of renegade and pro-studios. Anna performs regularly in Barcelona with various ensembles and her own collective of musicians, Anna Morley Collective. She aims to deliver her music to international audiences through licensing, touring and collaborative opportunities.
