BIOGRAPHY
With a distinctive voice and an emotive guitar style, Anna Searight approaches singer-songwriting in a fresh and unique way. Combining classic songwriting and modern looping ideas, her haunting melodies reflect influences of artists such as Tracy Chapman, Elliott Smith and Thom Yorke. Beginning her musical life as a self-taught ‘bedroom guitarist’, Anna went on to study music in Brighton whilst playing local venues such as The Komedia, Latest Bar and The Prince Albert with her band Ocean Delay. The summer of 2008 marked the beginning of her solo career, establishing her as a prominent artist in the Brighton music scene.
