BIOGRAPHY
Keswick Ontario based recording artist, singer/songwriter Anne Finley has been performing since the tender age of six. Raised in Pefferlaw, she has performed at various venues throughout Ontario since the early 90’s. Anne has enjoyed working with some of Canada’s top musician’s like Don McDougall (Colin Amey’s band Sleeping Giant), Paul ‘Chappie’ Chapman, Wendell Ferguson as well as sharing the stage with Aaron Prichett and The Road Hammers. A little closer to home Anne and her band have been a regular feature for the Annual P.A.R. Picnic in Pefferlaw as well as performing at the Sutton Fair and the Fergus Truck Show.
What makes Anne a little (lot!) different from most female artists is she’s a bona-fide trucker! Anne was named to the 2009/2010 Road Knight Team by the Ontario Trucking Association in February 2009. (www.ontruck.org) When she’s not rolling down the road, she’s performing her music.
Anne’s Radio singles ‘Playin Second Fiddle’ & ‘Missing Piece’ receive airplay across Canada, Australia and The Netherlands and Georgina’s own NISH Radio.
Anne has been featured on the Canadian Trucking News Radio and on xm171 Satellite Radio as well as being the ‘Feature Artist’ for Fort McMurray Alberta’s Country Radio Station. These shows profiled Anne’s driving career as well as her music.
Anne joined the Convoy For A Cure Ontario West team for their inaugural convoy October 2010. "Convoy For A Cure" is a team of dedicated women that have created a network of convoys that celebrate the women of the trucking industry and bring awareness, sponsorship, and support for the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation. The original convoy began the first convoy in the Cornwall area of Ontario and things have grown ever since. We would like you to be a part of these unique events, and help us build bridges between commercial truck drivers, the trucking industry, the public at large, and unite truck enthusiasts behind such a meaningful cause! We currently have convoys running in the areas of Ontario West, Ontario East, Alberta, New Brunswick, and Texas. Help us in the fight against breast cancer by supporting a convoy.
