Anne Kachline began singing as a child in the church choir. As a teenager, she took up guitar and electric bass, which is her main instrument.
Through the years Anne has performed in a variety of musical settings with bands and solo artists, in styles ranging from folk, rock, contemporary Christian, Gospel, to heavy metal. One such band, the Master's, recorded three albums on which Anne played bass.
In 1980 - 1981 Anne recorded her first solo album "My Hope Is In The Lord" but due to a fire in the studio which destroyed the master recordings, the release of this album was not possible until 2007. Then through to the "miracle of digital remastering" of most of the songs which had been "rough mixed" on cassette were released as an EP.
In 1983 Anne recorded and released a solo album entitled "Let's Join Hands And Love One Another."
Anne has had several of her original songs recorded by other artists. One of her songs, recorded by X-TERRA, "Brothers Three" was a first prize winner in the Contemporary Christian/Gospel category of the 1998 N.E. Pennsylvania Songwriter's Contest sponsored by the Cultural Council of Luzerne County.
Anne was one of the background singers on Chuck Paul's recording "Count It All Joy."
At present Anne is working on a solo EP entitled "Passing Pilgrims" as well as playing bass in the Christian classic metal band X-TERRA, which she and her husband Bob formed in 1985, and the blues/folk rock band Faithful Messenger in which she sings and plays bass.
