The musical panorama at the end of the seventies in Italy was very rich: The strong signal launched from the historic groups of “Progressive Rock” like PINK FLOYD, GENESIS, YES, KING CRIMSON, V.D.G.G. and from Italy LE ORME, PFM, BANCO and NEW TROLLS still lives on. In Turin there are groups like ARTI+MESTIERI, THE TRIP, HORUS, GNOMI and ZAUBER and until 1981, there were many other groups influenced by “Progressive Rock”. The historic nucleus of MAURY E I PRONOMI, was born in 1979 named “AQUAEL”. Now, after more than 25 years, the line-up changes and three albums are published. The talent of Maurizio Galia is a new reality in the universe of italian authors and musicians. He is the leader ,the songwriter of his band and the illustrator of all the album covers, although none should forget how important is the help of the other musicians. The old mates Nicola Guerriero and Enrico Testera, plus Marco Giacone Griva and Sergio Cagliero as precious arrangers. Many other musicians are strictly connected with this band: Dino Pelissero on flute, Sergio Ponti as drummer, Sylvia Delfino on backing vocals, Bruno Giordana on Sax, Michael Seck and Carlo Bellotti on percussion. In the past 2010 they releases a powerful version of "Moonflower" with an outstanding guitar work of Marco Giacone Griva recorded for the tribute to Santana by Mellow Records and a new track sung in English by Sylvia Delfino, called "Murat begins" for the Cypher Arts project "Pirates Tales" under the supervision of Paul Whitehead and Dan Shapiro. During the 2008 they has restored the old name AQUAEL definitely and their last work was a version of "Run through the light" for the new tribute to Yes published by Mellow Records.
