A native Australian, Ari Palandjian grew up in Sydney, Australia. Playing saxophone from the early age of 9, Ari attended the University of New South Wales, with a Business degree, but always studied music and saxophone in his spare time, reaching out to the Sydney Conservatorium of Music in various Jazz outreach courses.
Immediately after university, Ari began working and playing various Latin American ensembles and Salsa Bands right across Australia and Internationally, until he established his own big band, the High Rollers Big Band which he still operates today. In addition to numerous appearances at clubs, latin and jazz festivals and after 15 years of playing right across Australia, Ari has completed his own Album, bringing together a fantastic array of musicians, ending up with an album whose songs fuse all of these ideas and sounds, with unmistakeable Brazilian and Cuban rhythms, Jazz, Funk, Cha Cha Cha, Salsa, Flamenco mixed with Armenian old school songs. 13 Timeless tales, universal enough to have enduring cultural relevance and beautiful enough to have a profound personal resonance, not just for latin jazz musicians, but imaginative and different enough for anyone who sits down to really listen and enjoy this music.
