Music producer that loves to create big beats and fast grooves.
"I think I come from a different dynamic, not just being from the south. My uncle had me listening to rock music ever since I was born and my father listened to various types of music from Madonna to Charles Benson. I also happen to be an 80s baby so that's where my love of synths and high energy came to be. My love of movies influenced me to write strong dramatic melodies and rhythms as well."
* Born and raised in Memphis, Tn. in the same neighborhood of Elvis Presley at his prime, Dior has had a plethora of musical influences from the Blues, to R n B, Soul, and Rock. But his passion to write music took a somewhat different path and he started writing Electronic Dance Music (commonly known as EDM) . "My major influences are Depeche Mode, The Crystal Method, Sasha, Linkin Park, Timbaland, Pre Mo, and Mannie Fresh. Dior started writing music in his mothers backyard outhouse at the age of sixteen with some of his neighborhood friends. "We would do rap songs and such. All we had was a keyboard with speakers and a friggin karaoke machine!" After trial and error Dior stopped making hip hop beats and found a new love in Electronica and Dance. " A friend of mine re-introduced it to me in college. I had already grew up listening to it through the likes of Depeche Mode. When I really started listening to it again I was immediately taken in because it was so unique and it creates so much energy! But at the same time Mannie Fresh took the electronic sound and infused it with hip hop so the seed was planted with that as well."
* In college I met a friend by the name of Marlon Macon who was doing tracks as well. At that time I was on some Mozart type stuff...just playing melodies all over the place. Marlon told me to just keep it simple. After Dior returned to Memphis he didn't stray from networking and decided he could use another mentor. "I was blessed to meet phenomenal producer/songwriter Pre Mo from Justin Timberlake's band Free Sol through a mutual friend by the name of Edward Bogard. Pre Mo allowed me to sit in on his sessions and he gave me feed back on my work so I could take it to the next level. My goal is to make good, positive music and bring that sound to Radio, Film, TV and digital media.
