“I pour my heart and soul into music and song-writing. I want people to see me for who I am; both the light and dark of my soul. I hope that as you read the words I write and hear the songs I sing, you will see yourself in the pages and hear your voice in the melodies.” Arvie Bennett, Jr.
With southern roots and a captivating musical talent, Arvie creates music that reaches all walks of life. From the “American Working Man” to “Just a Cowboy”, he moves the audience with a pure voice and a refreshing transparency in his lyrics, leaving the crowd wanting more.
Since 2010, Arvie has written approximately 30 songs and performed at various events, includ-ing conferences, festivals and more intimate settings. Performing his original work is not on-ly a talent, but his passion – and it shows!
I was born in Greenwood, S.C., but as the son of a football coach, we moved around and I have lived in many towns throughout South Carolina. I now live in Greer, SC near the farm that my family has worked and owned for more than 100 years.
There are many amazing artists that have inspired my music, including Johnny Cash, Charlie Daniels, George Jones, Alabama, Jim Croce, George Strait, and David Allen Coe. I consider myself a storyteller, and my music reflects honesty of life, both mine and others. My heart is in singing and performing country music, and while I can play other genres, country is my southern roots.
My greatest passion in life is my music and my dream is to share with you my original work. I hope that as you read the words I write and hear the songs I sing, you will see yourself in the lyrics and hear your voice in the melodies. One of the greatest inspirations for chasing my dream is the satisfaction of knowing how my songs have affected my fans. Knowing that they relate to my music and hearing that my words have changed them, is the greatest compliment I could receive as an artist, and it motivates me to continue creating and growing as a musician.
