Baldy Mike is the CEO/Founder at Being Me Entertainment. Born Feb 28th 1983, the Oklahoma City native grew up in a musical environment. His father, the late great Little Red Nelson was a jazz drummer and Hammond B3 organist. Music has always been a part of this gifted man's life.. In 2000 Baldy Mike received 10 years for a federal gun charge case..In his determination to turn a negative into a positive, he applied himself musically learning to play 2 more instruments (bass and lead guitar..he already played trombone, drums and keys) and writing over 1,000 songs. Released in 2010, Baldy Mike began teaching himself how to use computer software programs such as Logic Pro, Garage Band, and Protools. The rest is history...
In 2010, after “Tappin Out” ( written and produced by Baldy Mike ft Super Jay) made it to radio, Baldy Mike started Being Me Entertainment and released his first independent project titled, Night Shift.
In 2011 he would released the Being Me Life mixtape to rave reviews. On the strength of its lead off single “Beat It Up remix” , this mix-tape proved to be a must have. He moved 3,000 units independently.
In 2012 he launched Level 7 Promotions and to date, this company is responsible for over 110 shows and events.
In 2013 he dropped the Penitentiary Band Room Music (P.B.R.M.) mixtape . To date it has received over 25,000 digital downloads on hulkshare.com
In 2014 he was honored by his peers with the Best Movement Achievement Award.
In 2015, Baldy is gearing up to release one of his best works titled, Project Mike Brown, (the lead off single, "No New Niggas" was voted best song of 2015-Awards For That Awards Show) which is an album totaling 17 original songs, ranging from rap to r&b.
