Bearin' Peace is straight out of North Jersey and is quickly building a name for them selves by blending together a clever mix of reggae and rock n' roll music. With the current music scene slowly dying from an over saturation of emo, pop, punk, and one hit wonder bands; it is hard for many musicians to break the mold. Bearin' Peace doesn’t take what is on MTV and remake it; they re-work the way music is thought of from the ground up. In there relatively short career they have had the pleasure of opening for some legendary acts including reggae legends Bob Marley's Original Wailers, Funk pioneer George Clinton and the parliament funkadelic, reggae legend Bankie Banx and more. With tons of live music and festival experience Bearin' Peace thrives on large crowds and has a reputation for an energetic live show that has been know to please audiences of all kinds. Bearin' Peace encompasses all of the soul of the East Side. Members Anthony “Bear” Restifo, Pete Stolba, and Nick Paull all reside in Bergenfield; and each member brings forth their own personal style of play and musical taste into the mix. With classic lead guitar riffs laid down by Pete, funky and smooth bass lines put down by Nick, and smooth reggae vocals and guitar rhythms arranged by Bear; much is brought together to form their unique sound. Not to mention J.5's hard hitting drum style, which adds to the authenticity of the group. There are not many shows you can go to and groove to a smooth reggae tune, and rock yourself content all in one set, yet Bearin' Peace never manages to disappoint.
