Beau Bryan is a multi-instrumentalist from Portland, OR. He has performed or recorded in a variety of genres including Jazz, RnB, Hiphop, and Electronica. Notable collaborations include Esperanza Spalding, Victor Wooten, Liv Warfield, Hieroglyphics, Chicharones, Othello, Farnell Newton, Haunted Spaceship, Eastern Sunz, Speaker Minds, Sirens Echo, Hungry Mob, Blacknotes, The Chosen, Black Science Tribe, Thorn City Improv, Luminous Fog, Quivah, and many more.
Beau was exposed to music at an early age but didn't begin playing until the age of 12. The piano was the first instrument of choice followed by the bass guitar at age 16. Now in his 30's he has started to try his hand as a music producer and engineer. He is off to a good start having produced 2 solo albums in 2013 with 4 albums on deck for 2014.
Beau draws inspiration from the masters of jazz music and the NW hiphop underground. His favorites in jazz include Oscar Peterson, Keith Jarrett, and Herbie Hancock. Beau has had opportunities as a sideman to open for national acts such as: Chick Corea, Black Eyed Peas,Bruce Hornsby, Zion I, People Under The Stairs, Living Legends, Slick Rick, Royal Crown Revue, Danilo Perez, Garage Mahal, Pharcyde, Blackalicious, Everclear, Masta Ace, Dead Prez, Killer Mike, etc.
