Benjamin Fitton

Biography

“Benjamin Fitton has released a number of albums under the moniker of This Unique Museum and a handful of EPs mixing the gentle pace of low-fi indie rock with the ambient sound of shoe gazing dream pop”

I guess the above sentence is the sort thing I should be writing in my biography but from now on I’d like do things a little differently as this seems to be a new chapter in my musical career. Recently I finished work on a project, where I begun writing and recording a song a week for a whole year and then released those tracks periodically through a series of albums. I’m looking to promote those releases by playing to a total of 10,000 people of the next few years /months.

This decision was taken as the record label I used to run folded and I just wanted to get back to the enjoyment of song writing and performing for no-one else but myself. Please note however that This Unique Museum has not been forgotten as I will still be writing and distributing records under that pseudonym in tandem with my other projects.

My songs aren’t going to change the world nor be the cure for cancer but they mean something to me and I guess that’s what matters.

Thanks for reading
