BIOGRAPHY
The twenty something newcomer onto the Hip Hop scene has emerged from the shadows as his music is gaining momentum throughout the industry. His sound examplifies diversity, primarily Hip Hop, Big Slug occasionally adds a twist of pop coupled with cunning lyrics to produce club jumping music. His musical style draws comparisons to none, gifted in art of story telling over rhythmic tracks Big Slug's music is the next generation of Hip Hop.
This native Midwesterner's musical ear had been established early as he was exposed to some of the many different genres of music ranging from the jazz of George Benson to the pop sound of Prince and the soul of Al Green as an infant. This enabled the youngster to develop the uncanny ability to recite verses of many songs lyric by lyric at the astonishing age of three.
To avoid many of the pitfalls of urban life he at the age of thirteen was encouraged to pursue team athletics and with the purchase of his first beat machine, music. Music inevitably won, he formed his first group a trio of rappers calling themselves M-town which stood for the city of his birth Milwaukee in middle school. He continued developing his craft until his family moved to Southeastern Florida. It was there the sounds of Southern Hip Hop deeply influenced him and expanded his musical base. He began to experiment mixing the familiar Midwest sounds with a more southern edge and flow. With Ludacris as a lyrical example and the showmanship of Nelly.
Big Slug is the name given to him by many of his peers because of the grillz he elected to wear as a representation of the southern lifestyle. As he harnesses his craft his music has already created a buzz in many markets, "Swang" his first single has already appeared in the film "Born and Bred" With the artful delivery of lyrics and truly diverse sound he will no doubt continue to be elevated into musical prominence.
Big Slug currently divides his time between his hometown of Milwaukee and his adopted South Florida home.
