Bill Kurzenberger is a dynamic keyboardist / guitarist / singer / songwriter from Columbus, Ohio. An established solo artist, he also plays keyboards and sings with The Resonators, the Bug Hounds, Skeleton Crew, and Terrapin Moon. Bill is also the newest member of garage-psych masters The Marshmallow Overcoat and appears on their recent release "The Light Show". His recent projects also include John Mullins Band, Stone Groove, Grasshopper Pie, and the Ritchey Brothers Band. Kurzenberger has also been featured as a guest keyboardist with various acts, including Cowboy Hillbilly Hippy Folk and ekoostik Hookah.
Kurzenberger's influences range from Americana rock to blues to funk to Bob Dylan and the Grateful Dead. Over the past fifteen years, Bill has played at many of Ohio's premier venues including Promowest's LC Pavilion, the House of Blues, the Newport Music Hall, the Beachland Ballroom, the Winchester Music Hall, and Legend Valley. With various bands, Bill has supported renowned artists such as the Marshall Tucker Band, Derek Trucks Band, David Nelson Band, Hot Tuna, Blues Traveler, Yonder Mountain String Band, Melvin Seals and the Jerry Garcia Band.
Bill Kurzenberger is also an emerging solo artist. In 2005, he released his self-produced debut album entitled "Suspending Disbelief." Recorded at Rome Recording Studio in Columbus, the CD features six songs selected from over a decade of original material, backed capably by Ed Ritchey, Scott Maruskin, Scot Gassen, Julie Rearick and Craig Harpley. "Suspending Disbelief" has received international airplay and is available at CDBaby, Apple iTunes, Amazon, and music outlets throughout Ohio. Kurzenberger's follow-up CD, "Solitary Road", is set for release in June of 2010.
