Billy Kennedy (born William Haney; May 12, 1991) is a musician, multi-instrumentalist,
singer, song writer, arranger, composer, and record producer. Born in Queens, New York
Kennedy has worked with a variety of musicians from all genres and has been in several
different musical acts. He is also a dancer, dabbles in the art of acting and fashion.
At 12 years old Kennedy began playing the guitar under instruction of guitar virtuoso
and record producer Ron Zabrocki. Coming from a family of several musicians he began
to expand his musical horizons shortly after by learning several other instruments and
began singing. While in high school Billy Kennedy was introduced by a friend to Maine
Damage. Following a three hour conversation about music, the two decided then and there
that they would make music together. Kennedy and Damage have been in numerous
bands and recording projects together, but things didn't come together until the two
solely began creating music with one another which birthed Mind Standards. Mind Standards
which started as a band expanded into an artistic collective which consists of musicians,
photographers, directors, artists, longboarders, skaters, poets, programmers, & fashions designers.
Billy Kennedy recently is constructing the release of Maine Damages debut EP "Unable to Relate"
as well as his own "Downtown 500" which are set to come out mid 2011. He is also creating
short films for the EPs as well as musical performances and working with singer/songwriter T.E.V.I.N.
