Birdie's Playhouse is lead by BIRDIE MENDOZA, also known as Michele Moreno www.michelemoreno.net who has been singing since her early days in the nest. She was the only Latina RAY CHARLES backup singer in history and has sung on numerous TV & film scores, including an episode of HBO's Six Feet Under. She also fronts a Jazz / Latin band www.birdiemendoza.com that plays for grownup special events all over Los Angeles.
She has performed all over the world as a backup and lead singer and in 2007 released her grownup original music CD Plastic Garden. She is also a budding actress with co-star appearances on Boston Legal and the Shield. As Michele Moreno, she recently composed children's music for the award-winning DVD Funky Monkey Music Time.
