Bob Parduhn is a lead guitarist and singer from Milwaukee. He writes and plays songs with a sense of adventure and beauty. Heavily schooled in the Jam-band style, Bob Parduhn stretches the limits. He has been a full time band leader and instructor for over twenty years. He has recorded five solo CD's, as well as two with BONES OF CONTENTION and two with THE DOKTORS.
“For Kids of All Ages” is Bob Parduhn’s brand new recording that happens to be a childrens CD. This 2009 release contains elements of Folk, Rock, Country, and Reggae with style. Adults will love this CD as well with songs that just make you laugh and feel good. The songs explore the wonders of nature including animals, fish, sailing, swimming, trains, and much more. This CD is a compilation of songs from Bob Parduhn’s previous material and five brand new originals.
In 2008 Bob Parduhn released a Rock n' Roll album, "Lost in the Times", his fourth solo CD of all original material. This was his follow up to "Dreamland", a beautiful recording of finger style acoustic guitar from 2006. In 2005 he released "King of the County" and in 2003 he released Bob Parduhn and Random Orbit, his first solo CD. He now plays with a Jazz -grass trio called 18 STRINGS with Michael Follstadt on Mandolin/Vocals and Dale Kellison on Bass.
"Lost in the Times" is blues based good old Rock n’ Roll fun. The CD is a Jam-band beauty loaded with screaming Guitars, sultry Organs, thumpin’ Bass, tight Drum grooves, and awesome Vocal harmonies. Think of it as a cross between the Dead, the Beatles, Allman brothers, Santana, with a little Clapton thrown in. Expect hypnotic jams, fun hooks, great arrangements, and fantastic recording quality. Recorded at Fly Studios in Milwaukee, a full blown recording facility under the direction of engineer/producer Guy Fiorentini. Bob Parduhn’s lead and slide guitars are a joy to hear, as are his inspiring three part vocal harmonizing parts too. Listen to psychedelic saturated tube driven lead guitars with big Hammond organ swirls that make you want to turn it up! Lost in the Times reflects the changing times that we are all going through right now on the planet, and the hopes and dreams that are to come.
Bob Parduhn performed for ten years with BONES OF CONTENTION, a six piece Jam-band that played Psychedelic Blues Rock. They recorded two CDs and performed all over the Midwest. Bob Parduhn has sat in with Spencer Davis, Willy Porter, Greg Koch, Harvey Scales, Scott Finch and many others. Bob Parduhn also played with THE DOKTORS for over six years, an acoustic band that played all over Wisconsin, and released two CDs- "Train 8144" and "Live at the Bastille".
Bones of Contention has opened for Marshall Tucker, Dan Hicks, The Radiators, Merle Saunders, Commander Cody, The New Riders of the Purple Sage, Vince Welnick, and Widespread Panic. Bob Parduhn has also scored music for six short films which have been shown on the Sundance cable channel and at Mid-West film festivals, including the film "She's Mine".
